Pratyabhijñāhṛdayam — The Recognition Sutras
Why it matters
Liberation is not something you gain. It is something you recognise — you were never not what you are looking for.
Kṣemarāja’s short, dense summary of Pratyabhijñā — the philosophy of recognition. Twenty sutras, each one an arrow. The claim underneath them: nothing needs to be added to you and nothing needs to be removed. What is missing is only the seeing.
Wallis’s The Recognition Sutras is the translation I use — it carries the Sanskrit alongside a commentary that makes the argument legible without flattening it.
